Yaay! I reached day 2!
Okay, so, today was a marathon of activities. I had too many things to complete at work, and not enough time for any one of them. I got ready before time today, so, I reached office at 8:55 am (usually I reach at 9:20 am). That gave me 25 extra minutes to work on my tasks.
First off, I started with some design work that I had been postponing. Designing requires focus and a distraction-free environment to maximize efficiency. So, I spent about 2-3 hours finishing up a newsletter design for our upcoming e-commerce app, Davai.
I finished up some quick meetings before lunch. I had planned to complete more email template designs in the second-half, but around 4 pm, I was called in Dad's office. He had some interesting ideas to improve the productivity of every department in the company, and wanted me to gamify it to tie all employees in the culture and values of the company. We're calling it, Kaun Banega Champion, based on the reality-TV show, Kaun Banega Crorepati (Who Wants to be a Millionaire).
Since we are still battling with the COVID crisis in our company (some employees became COVID positive, and we had to take actions), I had a chat with Mama Ji (Management head of Admin) to discuss our plan of action for handling the government and our employees. While I was with him, the clock struck 5:30 pm and I realized that I had passed a circular of ending office hours 30 minutes early to compensate for daylight. In the moment, I was like — office hours over! Already! And here I thought I could conduct some meetings with my team.
Anyway, with the 60 minutes more that I had in office, I did some research on the software tools that our marketing team could use to conduct webinars with doctors. I prepared a tutorial for the team to follow after creating official company accounts for them.
What's tomorrow? Well, a lot of travel as I visit our manufacturing plant in Baddi and have discussions related to documentation procedures and smart network wiring setups. Not too interesting to write in a blog post, so, I'll skip that.
I'm running out of time to proof-read this, since I'm supposed to sleep before 11 pm (it's 10:43 as I am typing this).
May our lives be full of exciting work!
