I don't wanna close my eyes, I don't wanna fall asleep, 'cause I miss you baby, and I don't wanna miss a thing... (Aerosmith)
Don't know why, but this tune came to my mind as I was about to write today's journal. It's one of my favorite songs. The idea of a partner or buddy to share companionship with is definitely interesting. It changes your lifestyle to accommodate for a person who wasn't there anymore. It's quite new to me, as I'm used to staying alone. So, it's not very common to live with someone else — forever!
Dear journal, I was happy because of my last meeting today because of the excitement that was shown by one of our employees (I'm not quoting names to respect privacy). They were so enthusiastic about a project we were about to start that our brainstorming sessions was one of the most dynamic ones I've had in a long time. It felt like we were building a project from the ground-up in a matter of minutes (pretty fancy if you add some cinematic music behind it and add dramatic lighting). It's nice to share that excitement with someone. It makes you realize that there's still fun in work, and that your employees still have it in them.
So, I had a meeting-filled day today accompanied by this fun brainstorming session. I was feeling like watching a film, so, I saw The Cobbler. It was okay. The word "magic" in a film's description is enough to make me want to watch it. Someday, I'll tell you a funny story about my childhood when I got out of my room in the middle of the night.
