These are my handwritten Communication Systems notes from third year, second semester, Electronics and Communication Engineering at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus.
Communication Systems is about how information travels. Amplitude modulation, frequency modulation, digital modulation schemes: each is a different answer to the same problem: send a signal reliably from one place to another. Noise analysis and receiver design bring in the practical constraints. The signal always has to contend with the world it passes through.
I learned this course by teaching friends and classmates. That is how I understood it. Understanding something deeply enough to teach it is the highest form of mastery.
