These are my graduate notes for Computational Form at Parsons School of Design, New York. First year, spring 2019. The course is about computation and form.
Before Parsons, I studied Electronics and Communication Engineering at BITS Pilani. Engineering gave me a way of thinking: precise, systematic, built on fundamentals. Parsons gave that thinking a design vocabulary. Computational Form sat right at the point where those two things meet, which is part of why it mattered to me personally.
In 2013, from a hostel room, I put my handwritten notes online at akshansh.net so others could learn from them. That decision has carried forward. Since 2013, at least one person in the world studies from my notes every single day. They are free.
