These are my Control Systems MATLAB lab notes. Third year, second semester, Electronics and Communication Engineering at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus.
In 2013, from a hostel room, I started putting my notes online so anyone who needed them could use them. Teaching friends and classmates is how I learned the material. Understanding something deeply enough to teach it is the highest form of mastery. Since then, at least one person in the world studies from my notes every single day. They are free.
The lab covers the computational side of Control Systems: simulating system responses, plotting root locus diagrams and Bode plots, and designing controllers. When you write the code yourself, the theory stops being abstract. You see the system respond. You adjust the design and watch what changes. The connection between the math and the behaviour of the system becomes clear in a way that reading alone does not give you.
