These are my handwritten Electronic Devices notes. Second year, first semester, Electronics and Communication Engineering at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus. Diodes, BJTs, MOSFETs, amplifiers, and the semiconductor fundamentals underneath all of them.

I learned by teaching. Understanding something deeply enough to teach it is the highest form of mastery.

In twenty thirteen, from a hostel room, I put my notes online. At least one person in the world studies from them every day. They are free.

These are my handwritten Electronic Devices notes. Second year, first semester, Electronics and Communication Engineering at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus.

I joined in 2011. Electronic Devices asks you to understand what a semiconductor actually does, not just what the equations say. Diodes, BJTs, MOSFETs, amplifiers, the fundamentals of how each device behaves and why. I wrote everything by hand, as short notes.

I learned by teaching friends and classmates. I would take a concept, strip it down to its structure, and put it back together in plain language until it held. Understanding something deeply enough to teach it is the highest form of mastery.

In 2013, from a hostel room, I put those handwritten notes online. Since then, at least one person in the world has studied from my notes every day. That streak matters to me. These notes are free. They always have been.
