These are my notes and assignments from Storytelling with Data. Second semester, Parsons School of Design, spring two thousand nineteen.

This is the last stop on the Design path. The path runs through Typography and Visual Design, Computational Form, and Motion Graphics, from technical rigor to expressive systems and form-making. My site's tagline: design that tells a story and inspires change. This course is that idea.

I started sharing notes as an undergrad in two thousand thirteen, so others could learn. At least one person in the world studies from my notes every day since. The PDF is right here on this page to read or download. Learn, share, repeat.

Narrated in my own cloned voice, generated with ElevenLabs v4.

Storytelling with Data · Parsons School of Design · 1

These are my notes and assignments from Storytelling with Data, a course in my second semester at Parsons School of Design, spring 2019.

I started sharing my study notes online in 2013, while I was an undergrad. The reason was simple: if you have something useful, put it where people can find it. At least one person in the world has studied from my notes every single day since then. That matters to me.

Storytelling with Data is the last stop on what I call the Design path on this site: Typography and Visual Design, Computational Form, Motion Graphics, and here. That sequence tracks a shift from technical rigor to expressive systems and form-making. It ends close to the line this whole site lives by: design that tells a story and inspires change.
