At least one person in the world has studied from my notes every single day since 2013. These Typography and Visual Design notes are part of that library.
The course is from my second semester at Parsons School of Design, spring 2019. Typography and Visual Design is the first stop on what I call the Design path on this site: a four-course sequence of Typography and Visual Design, Computational Form, Motion Graphics, and Storytelling with Data. The path moves through visual thinking, computational experiments, and motion, tracking the shift from technical rigor to expressive systems and form-making.
I started putting my study notes online as an undergrad in 2013. If you have something useful, put it where people can find it so others can learn from it too. That unbroken daily streak still matters to me. My motto since then: Learn. Share. Repeat.
