I read through a stack of audit reports, side by side instead of one at a time. The same root causes kept showing up. I realized many of those gaps, software can stop before they happen. Some it can catch while a person still acts. A few things stay human: judgement, discipline, culture. Software can enforce honesty in records. But it does not replace discipline. It only works if people cannot route around it.
I started sketching this in June twenty twenty-six, for a pharma plant I work with. Nothing is built yet. Just an idea. I am still asking myself: do I deepen what they already own? Build something separate? Or weave together pieces I have made?

That made me think about which gaps are actually preventable. Some are the kind good software can stop before they happen: a record that can’t be quietly changed after the fact, a step you can’t skip past without a flag. Some, software can catch while a person still acts, with time to correct it. A few stay human: judgement, discipline, culture. No software reaches those.
Software can enforce honesty in records. But it doesn’t replace discipline, and it only works if it is validated and people can’t route around it. That condition matters as much as the code.
The open question is how to build toward this. Do I deepen the platform the plant already owns? Build something separate alongside it? Or orchestrate pieces I’ve already built: a quality system, a cleanroom tracker, a shelf-life calculator, and others?
