Sometimes I forget what matters. Not catastrophically, just quietly, under the weight of daily work and noise. That made me realize I needed something tangible.

My North Star is one calm page: values, purpose, guiding principles, identity. Everything I know about why I do what I do, codified so I can return to it. It's an anchor.

I built it in August twenty twenty-five, with AI, in plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It's made to be opened every day, a few quiet seconds before the day takes over. Its profile file now travels into my other projects.

It is personal; there is no public link. But something like it might belong in your life too.

Narrated in my own cloned voice, generated with ElevenLabs v4.

It is easy to know your values in the abstract and forget them entirely by Tuesday afternoon. Work fills the day, small urgencies crowd out the bigger ones, and the things that actually matter retreat.

My North Star is a single, calm page that holds my values, purpose, guiding principles, and sense of identity in one place. It is made to be opened every day. That is the whole ritual: sit with it for a minute, let it pull my attention back to what I care about before the day gets loud.

I built it because I noticed that abstract self-knowledge has a short half-life. Writing something down once and reading it again and again is a different thing altogether. This page turns that knowledge into something tangible and ever-present, an anchor I can return to rather than reconstruct from scratch.

I vibe-coded it with AI in August 2025, in plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Building it produced something useful on the side: a personal profile file I now reuse across other projects.

It is personal, so there is no public link. If the idea resonates with you, consider making your own. The tool is almost beside the point. What matters is having a place that holds your purpose so the noise of daily life cannot slowly erase it.
