This monograph contains the collection of typographic and visual design work done by Akshansh Chaudhary at Parsons School of Design. The designs are grouped into four series — advocacy, Shakespearean play, word map, and symbols — each with its own distinct concept and visual theme.
The advocacy series uses typography as a tool for social commentary, pairing bold graphic choices with meaningful messages. The Shakespearean play series translates the themes and language of classic plays into contemporary visual forms. The word map series explores the spatial and relational dimensions of language, mapping words and meanings across visual fields. The symbols series distills complex ideas into minimal iconic marks.
Together, these four series represent a study in how typography and visual design can operate across registers — from the rhetorical to the poetic, from the diagrammatic to the symbolic. The monograph was produced under the guidance of William Bevington at Parsons School of Design.
