PPL — Passion Premiere League — is a business version of the IPL cricket league. The players are sales representatives who compete against each other to win their sales targets by scoring runs in a 50-over match format. The concept maps sales performance metrics onto cricket scoring, transforming a routine quarterly target into an engaging, team-based competition.
Launched in 2016 for Venus Remedies Limited, the league has run for three seasons. The project spans branding, mobile app design for Android and iOS, scoreboards, and a full suite of promotional material. The design system draws directly from cricket league aesthetics — jerseys, team logos, match cards, and live score displays — applied to the context of a pharmaceutical sales organization.
By reframing sales performance as sport, PPL gave the sales team a shared identity and a compelling reason to engage with their targets beyond the transactional. The mobile app allowed players to track their progress in real time, check standings, and follow the match as it unfolded across the quarter.
